BARNES & NOBLE
Braille Awareness Day

The Braille Revival League of Texas, in conjunction with the Austin Council of the Blind, invites you to Braille Awareness Day, an afternoon of fun activities and demonstrations focusing on the importance of Braille in our society.

The event is Saturday, May 19, 2:00 to 4:00pm, at Barnes and Noble, located at the Arboretum on 10000 Research Blvd. (Click to see Flyer.)

Bring the whole family and tap your toes to fun songs about Braille, take part in a Braille Q&A, have your name written in Braille on a note card that you can keep, and make no-bake cookies using Braille recipes (and of course, eat the cookies once they’re made).

Barnes and Noble Booksellers is also hosting a Bookfair as a fundraiser for Austin Council of the Blind. On Saturday, May 19 through Friday, May 25, Barnes and Noble will contribute a percentage of every sale made to ACB using a special Bookfair voucher. Customers wishing to support the Bookfair can either purchase a voucher at Barnes and Nobles’ Arboretum location, or get one online at http://www.bn.com/bookfairs.

Simply show the voucher when you check out at the store, or enter the voucher Id number 10757607 when shopping at the Barnes and Noble online store.
